Description: This knife was made by PAL shortly after they purchased the Remington knife company. This is a great looking knife and a very good and correct leather sheath. The knife is a PAL RH-36 and stamped on the handle is USMC JOHN GATE 1943. The handle is in nice condition and very solid. The handle is firm and the leather is intact and not damaged. The blade looks nice and clean with very little finish wear. The factory edge is sharp but not razor sharp. It has some very minor wear. The PAL RH-36 stamp is very good. The leather scabbard is correct and it looks great considering the age. It is firm and pliable with some minor surface wear, some backside and top edge surface cracking and the clasp has normal wear from use. Approximately 11 inches long with a blade of 6 3/16 inches. Overall, a very nice set.
