This decoration was established in 1939 to reward Mothers who produced several children. It was intended for mothers of large families and was worn on the left side of the chest on the occasion of all national holidays, civil solemnities and public functions. The front of the medal show a mother with seven children, the words "VNIONE FASCISTA FAMIGLIE NVMEROSE" on the left, and on the right the crowned "Z" trademark (of the Royal Mint, not verified). The reverse show an oak tree superimposed on an "M" (Mussolini's initial), all flanked by two fasces The medal ribbon is made of silk, 37 mm wide, green in color with two 4 mm blue bands.
