Description: This is an early 1950’s Auto-Flip Spatula that was made by Popeil. This was marketed as a "Suzie Flipper". When you squeeze the handle it rotates 45 degrees to flip what you are cooking. Works fine! Very cool old spatula. Would make a wonderful addition to that vintage retro kitchen tools and gadgets collection. If you are of a certain age, you remember Ron Popeil as an American inventor and marketing personality, and founder of the direct response marketing company Ronco. He made appearances in infomercials for the Showtime Rotisserie and coined the phrase "Set it, and forget it!" as well as popularizing the phrase, "But wait, there's more!" on television as early as the mid-1950s.
