VTG 62" Flapper Necklace & Waterfall Earrings UV Glow Cadmium Glass Amethyst AB

Description: UNIQUE and STUNNING! Vintage 62" Necklace & Waterfall Earrings, Purple Amethyst, Orange Cadmium Glass, Faceted and AB Crystals and Brass, with FREE SHIPPING. This set is truly breathtaking with the combination of purple amethyst, orange Cadmium glass and light amber colors in AB glass, givre, faceted, and rounded beads. The tapered tubular brass beads have a gorgeous patina which is beautifully offset by the glistening beads. The necklace is 62" inches long and does not have a clasp. The waterfall earrings need new comfort pads (not considered a flaw), if you are purchasing this to wear. There are no markings on any of the pieces, but the general consensus dates this between 1930-1950 and likely from Czechoslovakia. The Cadmium beads are UV reactive, depending on the amount of cadmium in each bead. Some of the amethyst orbs glow with a greenish hue. *NOTE* Do not be confused by the dates of iridescent beads. Swarovski invented the AB (Aurora Borealis) coating for RHINESTONES (only) in 1955 - there are NO rhinestones on this set. Iridescent treatments for glass and beads dates back to ancient Egypt! Please do not hesitate to ask for more photos - I used the maximum 24 that eBay allows.Vintage metal pieces (Sterling, Copper, Gold) have not been cleaned. We gently wipe with a polishing cloth thereby allowing the buyer to determine the level of patina they desire.
