This gorgeous piece of studio pottery is 18″ wide x 3″ tall with the square base measuring 10 1/2". On the base there is an embossed square signed "Frantz". It has two handles 6" long. There are 12 green pieces of felt on the base as well. This one of a kind piece of art weighs 8 lbs. This piece is pure whimsical charm. The incredible work of art is just stunning. Beautiful women's nude upper body surrounded by an abstract background. Blue, black and white checkered pattern. Light yellow and brown floral patterns are scattered about. The edge is 1/2" with a lovely striped motif in the glaze. So much detail. The glaze is just amazing with delicate crazing. There is one obvious chip in the last photo. A few minor chips along the far edges. This one of a kind handmade ceramic pottery was purchased from the Coach House Gallery that was on Van Dyke Place in Indian Village, Detroit, Michigan in the early 1970’s. Nona Herzog owned the gallery. Nona was very active and involved with local artists as well as the Scarab Club downtown. The local artists were many….Johanna Haas, Karen Carter, Mary Lark, Chars Herzog III to name a few. Her gallery also had artists from around the world come and display their art such as Vagh, Miele, and many more. Stunning detail. Please see the photos to complete the description. Thank you so much for checking out our Shop.
