During my detailed research, I unfortunately could not find any Hobe brooches that even remotely resemble this unique very detailed design in fabulous colors of deep purple green and clear stones of various shapes and sizes. Looks like new old stock with a Hobe cartouche. History: Hobe was established in France in 1887 by master goldsmith Jacques Hobe, who specialized in a fine jewelry line, and his son William went into costume jewelry some forty years later upon bringing his designs to the United States in 1927 in time for the costume jewelry boom. His son Don Hobe continued to run the family business until 1995. Under Condition Description above the following is written: In really nice condition.
