Description: Voigtlander Prominent Rangefinder 35mm Camera 35/f3.5, 50/f1.5, 100/f3.5 lenses Complete Collector’s Dream Set This is a really nice vintage Voitlander camera kit. It comes complete with three lenses, including the highly sought after 50mm f/1.5. This copy is in mint condition. When it was introduced in 1951, it was the sharpest 1.5 lens, easily beating competitors (Zeiss Sonnar 50/1.5 for Contax rangefinders, Leica Summarit 50/1.5, etc). Other than the 150mm lens, which isn’t an ideal rangefinder focal length anyhow, everything released for this camera system is included. The Turnit 3 viewfinder covers the field of view for the three lenses in this kit. This is such a special camera, and it has been well cared for over the years. I have film tested it with outstanding results. Condition Details: Appearance Leather is in very good condition. There are a few short, minor scratches on the body, but very minimal. No dents, the camera has never been dropped. A very clean camera, and a beautiful object. Optics Scoparon 35mm f/3.5 LensAperture blades are somewhat oily. The ring moves ok, though not as smooth as the next two lenses. Front element show some cleaning marks. No scratches, fungus or haze, plenty of dust. Nokton 50mm f/1.5 LensAperture blades are somewhat oily. Aperture blades have a small amount of oil showing, ring moves smoothly. The rear and front elements look perfect, without blemish. Shining a strong LED through the lens reveals surprising little dust, and slight internal etchings, which must be evidence of the hand grinding process used to make the lens. Truly astounding condition. Dynaron 100mm f/4.5 LensAperture blades are free of oil, Aperture ring clicks luxuriously, moving easily. Rear and front elements are perfect, free of blemishes. No separation, haze or internal fungus, plenty of dust. ViewfinderThe finder of this camera is small, but useful for focusing the rangefinder. Shining the strong LED shows internal haze. Turnit 3Mint condition. The outer elements are in pristine condition. There is internal dust. Function The feel of operating this camera is luxurious. Focusing with the left hand wheel is so nice. Film advances just fine. Shutter speeds sound accurate enough. The lens hood attaches to both the 50mm and 100mm lenses.
