Vintage Service For 12 QUEEN BESS II Silverplate Silverware In Orig Chest 1946

Description: Welcome to my delightful Estate find, an Oneida Queen Bess II Community Tudor Plate silverplated flatware service for 12 in an absolutely beautiful condition antique wood box in sublime condition lined with fuscia felt! This was one of the first silverware patterns to be manufactured after WWII! American factories had beenretooled to produce military goods and support the war effort and finally got to return to making luxury consumer goods in 1946 when this Silverware was produced! The gorgeous vintage box is free of scratches and has a berry pink purple felt tarnish free lining. Since this silverware has been doing its rounds hand to mouth since 1946, some pieces have a patina, I personally prefer it but please check my pictures, I have done my best to show the integrity of each piece and they look pretty good for being 80 years old. That being said, if you like your silverware to shine, I can polish up a couple of the pieces with the most wear, but some people like it like that, so just ask me. In this set, you will receive: 12 solid knives 12 dinner forks 12 salad forks 12 oval soup spoons 12 teaspoons 1 ladle This is a total of 61 glorious pieces that can actually all be used at the same time during a fancy or family dinner for 12. I get a little frustrated when people sell a zillion pieces and fail to mention that they don't have a single fork. :) Antique box is in pretty good condition, hinges operate perfectly, lacquer is shiny, no water damage, warping, or major scratches. Good condition cool and unusual silverware box. Cute floral pattern with elegant flower wreath descending the handle. I also have lots of other sets of Queen Bess if you are trying to jazz up your set with a particular piece.
