Description: Vintage mid 20th century original Barbara Price Morrow woodcut "The Lion, The Lion. He Dwells in the Waste". Inspired by The Bad Child's Book of Beasts by Hilaire Belloc. In vintage wood frame with glass cover. There are records of Morrow being in multiple shows at the Cleveland Museum of Art in the 1940s, and there is also a scholarship in Illustration at the Cleveland Institute of Art under her and her husbands name. Frame is 21" by 18" and 1 1/8" depth. Art is approx 13 1/2" by 10". Mat and print have foxing. Frame has chips and dings, some of them where covered with gilt wax or black wood stain.
