Description: Vintage Mine Safety Appliances MSA First Aid Kit TYPE D Small Latch Metal Case --- Partially used with the BURN TREATMENT box completely EMPTY (that box is also heavily stained and has stained neighboring boxes. The case is 8" wide (just under), 2.5" tall and 5" front to back. There is paint loss and the original lettering on the box exterior is mostly all gone. Hinges, latches and hande are intact, the latch hardware shows plating oxidation etc. Some of the bandage boxes have what look like regular band aids, The 2 inch Compress Bandages Box has what looks like only 2 unused banages. The 4 inch compress bandage (blue color) appears unused and intact (box indicates there is only 1 in the box). The 40 inch triangular bandage appears unused in the box (I didn't remove it, you can see the box with the opened flap, if I took it out I doubt I could get it back in). The Iodine brush box is missing one (the 9 remaining are unused, I checked that each of the 9 are not empty), the flap on that box is folded under and creased so it is not tucked in. The Wire Splint has not been used (I didn't remove it but you can see the mesh in the box with the flap opened). The Ammonia Inhalants box has 9 out of 10, the remaining 9 are unused. I removed the Tourniquet and Forceps for the photos so you can see them (there is no rusting or condition issues that I see or that are obvious to me anyway). I didn't count the the boxes with band aids, I'm not sure if that is standard issue for those boxes or if they were replaced or added in later. The label under the case lid is intact with some normal bubbling and normal adhesive stains and stains from contact with box contents). The back or bottom of the box has what looked like two fittings for mounting or hanging, I tried to pivot those fittings outwards as they look like they should rotate out but they are fixed or frozen in place (or at least don't move with some normal finger pressure, they might be oxidized in place etc).
