Description: Beautiful vintage green sterling silver earrings from Mexico. These was part of my Aunt's lifelong jewelry collection.I cannot possibly keep or wear them all and there are so many beauties.She traveled the world and collected jewelry everywhere she went.These were acquired during a trip she took to Mexico in the late 1940's to early 1950.She traveled from Guadalajara to Jalisco, Mexico City and Taxco.These probably originated from one of those places.These have green rectangle shaped onyx or malachite inlaid with sterling silver twisted wires. They are set in a bezel setting framed by twisted wire rope edging. The backs are both stamped with a circular logo and the words Hecho en Mexico but are difficult to read. These are sterling silver probably 925 sterling. Definitely made in Mexico, probably Mexico city but I am not positive. The screw backings are well attached. These are amazing and quite beautiful. Each measures a bit over 5/8" wide X 11/16" long. These are some of the best Mexican silver earrings in the collection.I really want all of her jewelry to be worn and enjoyed by someone again.
