Description: Here’s a cool 1/4hp vintage repulsion induction motor made by marathon electric company in Wausau Wisconsin. This has been dry stored for years, but shows signs of surface rust and paint flaking. This looks solid and complete, no major or minor dents or cracks. The badge is nice and riveted on. The specs are easily legible. I wired this up to a 110v source for about 5 minutes and it spins smooth. There is a smell of old electric motor, but there was no smoke or weird growling. The keyed shaft is 5/8” and has a 2” pulley on it, probably 1-1/4” at the V. This is about 6.5” wide and 12” long to shaft tip. Base has about 4”x5.5” slotted bolt pattern. I am selling this used as it is in running condition. I do have to suggest it should be cleaned and properly oiled (there are 2 oil caps) for any serious use. The cloth covered wires look ok but no covers were removed to inspect inside. This should be perfect for any period perfect light duty tool! Sold as is shown, Please inspect pics for condition. Heavy!! Shipping $45 I’ll consider offers especially for local pickup or if delivery is considerably cheaper than estimate.
