Description: This is a solid maple Long Harvest table with two drop leaves. It came from an estate in Northampton, Mass. Extremely well crafted. The son of the man who made the table wrote in to identify it: This table is very familiar with as my father made about 1960-1963? , the give away was the shape of the legs, he had a certain pattern. His name Emmett Turnage, passed in '95, my name is James.. It was sold long ago but it was fun to go down an old familiar road.I redid the top to show the beauty of the natural wood. The edges, underneath, the apron, and legs are the original finish with the patina.There are some slight age cracks in the legs which adds to its beauty. It makes a wonderful desk as well as a Harvest Table for kitchen or dinning room.Very sturdy. No wobble. Level. (The floors in my 1885 house are not level if you look at the pictures but the table is!)It was just too beautiful to be covered with all my papers (I am a writer.) and needs to go to a home where its beauty can be seen.The Odies finish is all natural.
