Description: For sale is a vintage French Lourdes priest & Pope Pius XI Jubilee medal/pendant. The front of this medal shows Pope Pius XI and is signed "Penin" at the bottom. The words translate from Latin to "Lourdes April 25-28 1935 Jubilee of Redemption Concludes". The reverse shows a priest saying mass in the grotto of Lourdes and this side is signed "Penin A. Lyon" (difficult to see). The words on this side translate from Latin to "Three Days of Massabieille". "Massabieille" refers to the grotto at Lourdes.
