Description: Vintage KitchenAid Hobart 5 Quart Stainless Steel Wire Whip Attachment for Model K5-A and K5SS Stand Mixers - EUC. Used - Good Used Condition. Beater has some light oxidation from use and washing over time. The mixer shown in the pictures is not part of this listing. You are buying a genuine replacement KitchenAid 5 qt. flat beater attachment only. This vintage attachment was manufactured by Hobart for KitchenAid in the early 1970s. It was designed to work with the K5-A 5 quart bowl lift stand mixer as well as it will fit the newer K5SS, 5 quart stand mixer. This is the first generation of the aluminum flat beaters for bowl lift stand mixers and was introduced with the K5-A mixer. It has the signature rooster tail one on side of the beater, has the small top locking crown and does not have the white PVC coating. This style beater is not dishwasher safe and should be hand washed only. It also fits newer KitchenAid mixers made by Whirlpool so long as the mixer is a 5 quart narrow bowl, older style stand mixer with bowl lift arms. This beater will not work with any tilt head mixers or newer wide bowl lift stand mixers. If you have an older K5-A or K5SS, 5 quart stand mixer made by Hobart and you need a genuine Hobart replacement beater, then this is the right listing for you.
