Vintage Jacket Sturdy French Military Specialist Jacket Heavy Brown Wool Coat

Description: ~*~ Hello and Welcome to the Textile Trunk! ~*~ Please follow us on Instagram, we are @textiletrunk ~*~ A strong and sturdy mens specialist, probably military, jacket from 1933! This heavy jacket is made of brown wool and is both heavy and warm, so it could be good for someone seeking a warm, military looking coat. The inside features two buttoned pockets, The underside of the collar has some fantastic stitching detail, and the coat has buttonholes but is missing buttons. (see condition notes). There is a stamped label inside, saying "M.V.T. Tours 339" and another saying "112 M, Gm". There is also a written label that says "Robert = 395." Maybe a previous owner?? There are also a few tags that read 99, (see photos), maybe a military regiment?? Very cool!!!! Despte some stains and tears (see condition notes), this jacket is in good shape for wear, or could work wonderfully as design inspiration or décor!! ~*~ Please see photographs for closer inspection of the stamped labels. *~ ~*~ MEASUREMENTS : This lovely vintage textile measures approximately, 28 inches long 24 inch sleeves shoulder seam to cuff 44 inch chest 44 inch waist 17.5 inches across the top back of the shoulders, seam to seam. CONDITION : This jacket is in as found, not freshly laundered condition. As stated above, this jacket has some stains and tears, a lot of which are on the interior lining. This jacket is missing its buttons, but there is thread indicating where they all once were. The tops of both shoulder seams have a split in them but they are still easily worn and could be repaired. The interior also has some patches that show through to the outside of the garment. For closer detail, please see the photographs!
