Description: Vintage ESCADA 16/XL 100% Virgin Wool Yellow/Black Houndstooth Cardigan Sweater Three things to note before the description: 1. the sweater is a size 16/XL and the mannequinis a size 4/Small so it will look better and more fitted on a person of the proper size, and 2.The European size 38 on the size tag is vintage and should be disregarded as it is vastly different than current day sizes. Measurements are provided at the end of the listing.3. The skirt & top in the photos are for demo purposes only and are not included in the sale. Beautiful vintage ESCADA open-style/cardigan style sweater made of 100% virgin wool stretchknit. Mix of black, white and yellow in a geometric, houndstooth type pattern with 2 exteriorpockets. Sweater has no closures and is meant to be worn open or as a layering piece overa blouse. Sweater is definitively from the 1980's as it was made in "West Germany" which was reunified in 1990. It is in overall excellent and clean pre-owned/vintage conditionshowing typical signs of previous use one might expect. We found rips, tears or stains. Tag is marked size 38 as shown in the photos however please also refer to the following measurements before bidding to ensure a proper fit as sizes have changed over timeand based on the measurements, the sweater is a current day size 16/extra-large.All measurements are approximate and are taken while garment is lying flat and closed naturally in the front. Please also take into account the stretchy nature of the knit fabric and that the sweater is open-style with no buttons/closures giving some leeway with the measurements.
