Description: Ah… a true dimestore classic – the 1960s Teisco Tulip. Now these CAN be pretty junky, but they’re downright cool when solid and good playing like this one. All original parts, except for tremolo arm which is a correct replacement. Strong finish with just modest player wear. Pickguard in great shape, with no wear to the embossed design. Nice neck and frets. Good pickup outputs, and I shimmed the bridge pup a little higher to get more drive and crunch out of it. Guitar had the commonly seen cracks along the outside of the neck pocket (NOT a lot of wood there), and I did have to wiggle a little Tight-Bond into the bass side and clamp it. I smoothed it out neatly, and, as we all know, it’s stronger than the original wood now. Plays and intonates well, and sounds just like it should – cheap, snotty, and emo cool. Neck pup slider switch can be a little finicky going into position, but it does not cut out once engaged. Maybe a little contact cleaner every so often. OK condition non-original gigbag. NOTE: USA regulations under the CITES convention (trade in endangered species) have finally been loosened to allow easy international shipping of vintage instruments, unless they contain BRAZILIAN r******d (Dahlbergia nigra). Fortunately, there is no Brazilian on this guitar (the fretboard is clearly East Indian), so it can now be shipped internationally.UPDATE: Ebay now demands that we sellers give THIRTY DAYS for returns. Any honest buyer will know within a few days whether there is any need for a return. I no longer take returns through Ebay, but I will never "stick" another musician with a guitar.
