Sculptor - Claude Le Clerc. Material is hard plaster with a wood rectangular wood base. Produced by Austin Productions. This charming 1978 sculpture by Claude Le Clerc is in beautifully perfect condition. It is of a mother standing with 2 children , a girl whose hand she holds with her right hand and a boy who stands on his mother's left side and reaches up towards her left hand. Mother is clad in a long floor length dress - she is glancing off to the right. The piece is executed in the impressionistic additive rough clay manner but is cast in hard plaster. It is pure 1970's figural sculpture. It is a quaint and lovely rendition of motherhood. Often these pieces exhibit a variety of types of damage but as we've said , ours is pristine. We have priced it very well for a fine example of this work.
