Description: Here for sale is One Vintage Andy Gard Army "Rat Patrol" Jeep with Metal Axles, Two Recast Andy Gard Sitters, and a Recast MPC Machine Gun that are all in Pristine Condition. This jeep can be used with Andy Gard Army Playsets, Carzol Canada Army Playsets, and MPC Army Playsets. This toy needs a new, permanent home. Perhaps this item would look good in your own Classic Andy Gard (or even MPC) Collection or Diorama. Relive the magic! If you are not familiar, Andy Gard's Army Vehicles from the 1960's are very similar to those that were produced by MPC. The three different Andy Gard Tanks (Swivel-Turret, Armored Personnel Carrier, and Weasel) are about 95% the size of the better-known MPC Tanks and have more detail on the tank tracks. There are also three different Andy Gard Army Wheeled Vehicles including the Heavy Troop Truck, the Jeep, and the Ambulance. All three of these wheeled vehicles have metal axles which were a definite improvement over the plastic axles on the similar MPC Trucks. The Rat Patrol was an American action and adventure television series that aired on ABC between 1966 and 1968. The show followed the exploits of four Allied Soldiers - three Americans and one British - who were part of a long-range desert patrol group in the North African campaign during World War II. Their mission was to "attack, harass, and wreak havoc on Field Marshal Rommel's vaunted Africa Korps." For those of us who were watching at the time, it was a really cool TV show.
