Description: Thanks for looking. Offering a vintage thick aluminum and durable dutch oven with lid and bail handle. It is marked on the bottom with "Modern Cook Ware" and can hold 4.5 quarts, but comfortably cooking with 4 quarts. I do not know the age of item, when manufactured, to be able to claim as an antique, but do know it to be very old as it was my Grandmother's and has been with me on a shelf with other nostalgic vintage cookware for years. Have moved and downsized considerably. The rim has a "spout" on one side and a tab on the other for easy pouring. I suppose if cleaned up or polished, if possible, it could be used for cooking stews, soups, or other dish, or great for camping or backyard cooking. Regardless, a nice piece for the collector of vintage cookware. It is nice condition with no cracks, chips, etc.; however, the finish does have blemishes giving it a rustic primitive finish for the farmhouse, rustic, primitive decor. It measures approximately 9 1/2" in diameter at top rim inside dimension tapering to approximately 8 1/2" at bottom of pot. It is approximately 4 3/4" deep and approximately 8" tall to top of cover/lid handle.
