Description: Vintage Alice Caviness Necklace Butterscotch Swirl Chunky Plastic Beads 32"L This fabulous molded plastic bead statement necklace by Alice Caviness will make a wonderful addition to your collection. It features a single strand of round 1" chunky plastic swirl beads accented with smaller matching round beads, elongated flat panel beads, gold tone metal bead cap style beads & gold tone oblong beads that look like two round beads joined together. The swirl pattern design includes colors/hues ranging from dark chocolate brown to amber or butterscotch. Will blend perfectly in collections containing retro & Mid Century MCM plastics such as Bakelite, Catalin and more. It does have wear including chipping/crazing/crackling on the gold tone plating on the clasp, rough edges on the oblong bead corners/ends, and more so please read complete details below and review photos closely for condition. Thank you and enjoy! ITEM DETAILS: Approximate weight is 120g totalMeasures approximately 1" x 1" x 32" in length from end to end including the clasp and insert. Approximate dimensions of beads—large round plastic beads 1" x 1", small round plastic beads .5" x .5", long flat sided beads .3" x .3" x 1.875" in length from end to end, gold tone cap style beads .33" x .4" x .4", gold tone double ball beads .25" x .25" x .45". The box clasp is approximately .375" x .625" x .75".Condition: In vintage pre-owned used condition with wear including wear to the long corner edges of the elongated flat panel beads, some chipping to the holes on the ends of the elongated beads, crazing/crackling/chipping/flaking on the gold tone plating of the box clasp as shown in the last listing photo, there is a bit of slack in the string cord which appears to be a nylon cord and I don't know how long the current cord/string will last so I would recommend restringing it before wearing, visible seams on the plastic beads (especially the large beads), abrasions, fine scratching, scuffing, dents, dings, dulling, wear to the surface of the plated metal components, patina, tarnish, wear to the plastic and metal beads in between where the beads rub up against each other, dulling, dirt, dust, grime, loose fibers/lent and overall wear from age and handling.
