Description: Nice replica of "The Three Graces" by Antonio Canova housed in the Hermitage in St. Petersburg, Russia. Sculpture is 7 1/2 inches tall, 4 1/4 inches long, and about 3 1/2 inches wide. It weighs 1 lb 3 oz. It is signed on the back but I can't read the signature. It looks like either JJen or Hev (?). The figurine depicts the three graces from classical mythology -- Euphrosyne (mirth), Aglaea (elegance), and Thalia (youth/beauty). They are reportedly the daughters of Zeus. It's in good vintage, used condition. There are no breaks or chips that I could find. It is in the same condition as when it was manufactured. That being said, the third grace (on the far right) has a little too much of the resin carved away -- I'm guessing the resin is made in a form and then cleaned up by hand. Whomever did the detail work on her was a bit aggressive. Completely not visible from the front -- you have to contort it so even see it. See the third to last photo. ***See photos for details and relative size. Please feel free to ask questions prior to bidding / purchasing. Thank you for your interest!
