Vintage 50s PAR FORM Black Jersey Hourglass Sarong Swimsuit Bathing Suit VLV

Description: Vintage 1950s black gathered jersey hourglass swimsuit/bathing suit. This has removable shoulder straps so it can be worn strapless, with the straps crossed over (as shown) or straight over the shoulders. The bust and upper midriff are covered with shirred fabric. A swag of more fabric starts on the right side, draping over the bottom half of the swimsuit creating a "sarong." The back is smocked elastic for a snug and curvy fit. The fabric is a silky, slightly stretch black jersey. Fabric/Contents: Maybe nylon or a bled. Closures: Metal zipper up the back. Lining: This has built in bra made of somewhat stiff fabric with vertical boning, along with vertical boning up the top half of either side. Measurements: Chest: 31 - 36 inches (each cup is approximately 7 inches across)Waist: 22 - 28 inchesHips: 32 - 40 inches Length: 28 inches The dress form measures 34 - 25 - 35 and this was a good fit. Label: "Originals by Par Form 12/36" and the ILGWU label used from 1955 - 1963. Condition: Excellent. All the elastic is nice and stretchy. The only issue is that the gusset lining has been cut out. These are the actual measurements of the piece.
