ITEM DESCRIPTION DescriptionUp for your consideration is a gorgeous, pre-1800 antique Chinese vase. The piece features a cream colored ground with green and blue splotches. It is tall, measuring 17" tall, and presents very well. It has a scalloped rim, and the handles feature two mythological cats, with a ball in the center. They are very finely detailed. SizeThe piece measures 17" tall, and 8" wide. ConditionVery good condition for its age, the base has a drill hole as it once was a lamp. There are several chips to the base, as made. These chips are from manufacture, where the thick glaze pooled in the kiln. I included 3 pictures of the base so you can see it in 360 degrees. Also, there is a thin crack on the foot rim (from firing). It extends 2" up the vase, but it is at the glaze level and nit in the pottery, so it is not a true crack, and the vase rings true when tapped. Finally, there is one pock mark to the interior of the vase, also from firing, The vase is complete, free of restorations, and presents beautifully.
