Description: Bizen ware espresso cup & saucer set includes 2 cups & 2 saucers. Bizen ware decorated by the wrapping of rice straw around each piece & wood fired. Each piece in the set has the “signature” of the artist. These pieces were purchased in Japan in 1974 & hand carried back to the US by the present owner. Never used but treasured. One cup is 2 3/8” in diameter & 2 3/8” in height & the other cup is 2 1/2” in diameter & 2” in height. One saucer is 5 1/8” in diameter &/1” in height & the other saucer is 5” in diameter & 1” in height.
