OLD SHARP RIFLE MEMORABILIA IS RAPIDLY DISAPPEARING FACTUAL REPRESENTATION NOT RETREAD HISTORY Folks, over the years I have learned that Gun collectors are intrigued by minute evidence of history. This is not a long story but it is placed in a collectable issue western magazine with a suggested value of nearly the price asked. It is nearly 50 years old and the issue is in excellent condition, the cover is pristine and in vibrant color. I have indexed the story and there is additional details of the Sharps rifle which time will not permit me to relate. I do feel that it might be of some importance to the collector. Here is the story entitled THE MIGHTY SHARPS and the noted western author Norman B. Wiltsey has gone to some lengths to detail the rifle that won the west . There were many a western story published – the common ones about Cowboys and Indians are listed on Ebay every day but the rarer ones about the Sharps Rifle are seldom found. Collectors treasure them and their price guide value rises every day. They are hard to find. I hunt them out because really the better, untold and rarer stories were published in the rest. Here’s one of ‘em. Following my retirement, I have dedicated my remaining hours to indexing the Genealogy of our western heroes. During my research, I discovered that thousands of our kinfolk lay unfound and unrecognized on some book dealer’s shelf gathering dust.
