Vinyl grade; NM- Cover grade: EX ……………………………………………………………… ALL Unsealed Records were Ultrasonically cleaned using my Kirmuss Audio KA-RC-1 Ultrasonic Record Cleaner. PLEASE SEE THE BELOW explanation for my grading scale to understand how I assess the quality of my vinyl LP collection. I use a combination of the industry standard Goldmine Grading Scale as well as a 1-10 scale to ensure a clear and accurate account of each album’s condition. Cover/Sleeve Grading applies to OUTER SLEEVE ONLY. If the original Inner sleeve is included it will be shown in the photos. Please ask any additional questions regarding inner sleeve or album condition BEFORE purchase! I am not a professional grader and strive to evaluate the item according to my 60 years as an audiophile collector. THE SCALE IS AS FOLLOWS: VINYL: 9) NEAR MINT (NM OR M-) A good description of a NM record is “it looks like it just came from a retail store and it was opened for the first time.” In other words, it’s nearly perfect. Many dealers won’t use a grade higher than this, implying (perhaps correctly) that no record or sleeve is ever truly perfect. NM records are shiny, with no visible defects. Writing, stickers or other markings cannot appear on the label, nor can any “spindle marks” from someone trying to blindly put the record on the turntable. Major factory defects also must be absent; a record and label obviously pressed off center is not Near Mint. If played, it will do so with no surface noise. (NM records don’t have to be “never played”; COVERS: 9) NEAR MINT (NM), Looks as if it just came from a store and was opened for the first time, maybe played a few times if ever, no evidence of play or wear whatsoever. Very minor corner “bumps” due to shelf or box storage. 8) VERY GOOD PLUS (VG+) VG+ covers should have only minor wear. A VG+ cover might have some very minor seam wear or a split (less than one inch long) at the bottom, the most vulnerable location. Also, a VG+ cover may have some defacing, such as a cut-out marking. Covers with cut-out markings can never be considered Near Mint. I do NOT collect or sell anything that is less than these grades! My collection is audiophile quality. It is all premium quality and does not compare to the garage sale beaters that are plentiful on Marketplace. All vinyl were handled with cotton gloves to avoid fingerprint oil and most played once or twice and transferred to Studer A800 reel to reel recording deck since in 1978 or WAV recording on a Windows computer via a Audio-Technica AT-ML180 PC-OCC with Gold-Plated Boron Pipe Cantilever and MicroLine style mounted on a The Linn Sondek LP12 turntable. See my other listings for my large family estate sale of collectibles, sports memorabilia, audiophile vinyl LPs & CDs, signed books from major celebrities & world figures and vintage toys. All proceeds go to charity. This has been in storage for 40+ years, time to pass it on so it can be enjoyed by somebody else. See pics for all condition or details. I'm not a record grading professional but based on working for over 10 years in a radio station, as well as a dozen years working in a LP/CD music retail store, I am grading these items based on the Goldmine criteria I have always used and listed above. I understand there may be disappointments with a negative buyer or seller grade, make sure you read the entire listing and ask questions before you submit payment as there are no returns. I will also try to spot check all Vinyl LPs before they go out, and if something is amiss, I will alert the buyer to give them the chance to cancel an order. Otherwise, there are no returns once shipped. All of my items come from a smoke and pet free environment. They are stored in a dry clean location. Most items are vintage and I will do my best to note any flaws in the description. No returns, ask questions re: condition here, on EBay. Thanks!
