The chain is unique as it is welded so it should not break.The oval St Benedict medal compliments the smaller 1 1/2" crucifix.I chose a smaller crucifix as not to be cumbersome in case you carry it in your pocket.Both are made in Italy so the craftsman is superb with great detail. The finish is more like a brass bronze. Included is a laminated St. Benedict card that explains the lettering on the medals.The St. Benedict medal goes back centuries and is quite a powerful sacramental against evil.
