Description: This auction is for ONE (1) SOVIET RUSSIAN 5-PLACE MEDAL MOUNT , ALUMINUM, with screw-back attachment, as used to mount and display one's Orders and Medals when wearing the parade uniform of the Armed Forces or other government organization of the UNION of SOVIET SOCIALIST REPUBLICS or RUSSIAN FEDERATION. These mounts are ESSENTIAL for the proper wearing of one's orders and medals. They can also be used on civilian clothing on special occasions. Once the medals are mounted, there there are two screw and nut fasteners on the back (see photo) for attaching to the garment. These are still in use today. NO medals, orders OR ribbons is included, ONLY the mount, itself. These are NOS (new old stock), and are in EXCELLENT, UNUSED CONDITION, but have been bulk stored so they may show some slight scratches here and there, which will be hidden from view under the ribbon once everything is attached. I have a number of these, as well as others for mounting one, two, six, seven or even eight medals on one bar. Contact me if you are interested.
