Description: This Art Deco style sculpture is part of the Sobral "Objetos Poeticos" line and its creation was inspired by the Christ the Redeemer Statue in Rio de Janeiro which is a cultural icon of Brazil and was voted one of the New Seven Wonders of the Modern World. I have many of these sculpture listed in different sizes and patterns. This one is the small size and the Preterito Perfeito version. The Preterito Perfeito is an upcycling collection, created by reusing the brand's own pieces and small colored objects encapsulated in transparent resin. This line reaffirms the company's eco-friendly posture of recycling its small flawed, odd or remnant pieces, taking them from the past of other collections to become perfect again in new shapes and designs. It measures 4 3/8" high and the width is 4 1/4". The first United Nations Conference to address environmental degradation was held in Stockholm in 1972.Already at that time the designer Carlos Sobral was working with resin and creating new techniques and alternative products to reuse all the raw material he consumed in the production of his collections. All Sobral production strictly follows the current environmental standards; however, Sobral goes further by putting into practice the zero disposal of raw material.
