Description: John Muir A Reading Bibliography Chronologically Compiled and Annotated by William F. Kimes (signed) and Maymie B. Kimes (signed) Foreword by Lawrence Clark Powell Panorama West Books, Fresno CA Description: Large coffee-table style hardback book published by Panorama West Books of Fresno, California in 1986. The table of contents page lists a introduction to the revised and enlarged second edition. The date is from the bottom of the title page, apparently the first edition of this book was published in 1977. Inscribed to well known Americana collector Roger Larson by both authors on the front free endpaper in the year of publication. A noted collector of Americana, Dr Larson's collection, when sold at auction in 1994 by Pacific Book Auction Galleries filled five catalogs (four in hardback, the last two were combined). Part of his collection was also donated to the Bancroft Library, the State of California Library and other institutions. We have sets of the catalogs for sale in our buy it now items, search within my store for Larson. Condition: Binding - near fine, top and bottom of spine a little bumped, corners just barely bumped, slight soiling. Dust jacket - none, as issued. Shipping History: We have shipped well over 6,000 packages (containing more than 10,000 items), with more than 1000 of those packages going to international destinations, since we started selling in 2002. We have not had a report of a book damaged in transit since shortly after we started selling (it took us a couple of damaged shipments to learn how to package books properly to be sure they wouldn't get damaged). In the first years, our exprience was that the post office would lose a package about every one to two years. Then the post office put better tracking measures in place and it has been well over 10 years since a customer has reported a lost shipment (packages do still occasionally get sorted incorrectly, delaying delivery but that is fairly rare). Sales Tax Beginning January 1, 2019, eBay will start collecting sales tax on items being purchased for shipment to states that have passed legislation requiring that sales tax be collected on items being sold for shipment to their state. This is being done by eBay, I have no control over it. At the present time, I will still be responsible for collecting California Sales tax on items shipped to a California address.
