Turning ON issues: Ensure that the batteries are installed properly, and the open end of the sleeve installed opposite of the switch. Ensure that the sleeve rests centered in the compartment and not stuck on the lip at the back of the compartment preventing it from making contact with the switch. If the boresight still does not power up with new batteries installed properly, then the unit can be brought in to check and replaced under warranty. Fitting and Centering issue: Special muzzle breaks may not provide enough surface area for the magnet to maintain good contact with the barrel to stay affixed. Removing the muzzle break / flash hider from the weapon to boresight or using a 1” washer is a quick fix in these special situations. This does not indicate a defect.
