Description: A beautiful Russo-Japanese sword that was used by Japanese Army and Navy Officers during WW2.The brass handle is decorated with cherry bloosoms and a rayskin handle that has inlaid copper wire.There is a button at the top of the handle to release the scabbord. The scabbord does have a great deal of pithing in the metal and there is a small dent towards the top.The blade is in great condition. I could not find any markings on the blade.The overall length of the piece is 33 1/2".The blade has a length of 23 3/4" and the scabbord is 26".
