Part of “The Hobbit” and “The Lord Of The Rings” Pewter Collection by Royal Selangor and Graeme Anthony, which originally launched in 1996, with the Sculptors Dream official worldwide release in 2001. 🔎 Now Sold Out, Discontinued and Retired from Royal Selangor production back in the early 2000’s… So these will never be made again and will only increase in value over time, as they become harder and harder to find!! 🔎 This Wine Goblet has been Hand Signed and Dated, in person, by Graeme Anthony himself! Hand Engraved with Graeme’s autograph and the date! (as well as bearing the copyright stamp of his initials, the year of the design, and the production year... these inscriptions are just stamped onto the bases of all the wine goblets made as part of the casting/manufacturing process, and are not hand-engraved. A lot of sellers mistakenly advertise this as being ‘hand-signed and dated’ by the artist, which in actual fact it is not) Unlike this wine glass.. which has actually been hand-engraved and signed, in person, by Graeme Anthony, making this particular wine glass even rarer, highly sought after and more valuable! 🔎 This wine glass goblet has never been displayed or used. It has been stored in its box since I purchased it upon release, only ever being removed from the box for inspection, for Graeme to sign it, and for taking these photos. 🔎 It’s in excellent, as-new and unused condition, without any damage, dints, scratches or flaws. Includes the original Royal Selangor Box, which is also in excellent condition and not damaged. DESCRIPTION: 🔺Royal Selangor ‘Lord of the Rings’ “ORC” Soldier of Mordor PEWTER AND GLASS WINE GOBLET/WINE GLASS - 272535 - Height: 20cm HAND SIGNED AND DATED - Graeme Anthony has hand-engraved the base of this wine goblet, in person, with his full autograph and the Date: 17/7/08 Cleverly crafted in pewter and glass. A very impressive Orc pewter wine goblet with a 10 fluid oz/300ml clear glass bowl. Depicting a menacing Orc soldiers bust and its terribly ugly, snarling face, its mouth wide open and its sharp teeth on full display, ready to sink them into any and all enemies of their master Sauron and of Mordor.. or anyone who tries to steal your wine!! This Orc wine glass has fantastic detail, with a very nice section of textured chainmail. I like it how Graeme has clearly depicted the Orc’s ears similar to that of an elves’ ear shape, a nice touch I think, considering the first Orcs’ were originally Elvish before being cruelly tortured and turned into Orc soldiers! Along with the Gandalf and Sauron versions, this clear wine glass is designed to allow the red wine to colour and glow through the Orcs’ eyes, making a very cool effect! Before Oromë first found the Elves at Cuiviénen, Melkor enslaved some of them and cruelly tortured them, turning them into Orcs. They were the primary foot soldiers of the Dark Lords' armies and sometimes the weakest (but most numerous) of their servants. They multiplied and later spread through northern Middle-earth. 🔺Part of a series of 6 different highly detailed wine glasses/wine goblets with 10 fluid oz/300ml glass capacity. Cleverly crafted in pewter & glass, the bust-style designs of Gandalf, Orc & Sauron with their wide open eyes and clear wine glass, are designed to allow red wine to colour and glow through their eyes making a cool effect! While the character designs of Ent & Winged Beast are cleverly cradling the glass bowl - within the outstretched branches of the Treebeard Ent, or surrounded by the huge outstretched wings of the Nazgûl’s Winged Beast! Finally, the City of Tirion wine glass with its amazingly high level of detail from the base of the stem all the way up to the tips of the highest towers, portrays the unmistakable and beautiful city of the Elves!
