Description: Beautiful and Extra Large Handcrafted reclaimed French Oakwood in the French Empire Form. Item made from wine barrels and wrapped using iron barrel straps. Uses E12 40 watt bulbs. This is a very difficult to find item and originally sold for $4800 during the 80s. The height is 48" without the bottom ball--6 feet with bottom ball attached, diameter is 44". Ready for hanging with adjustable metal chain. This item is not a reproduction, so may contain wood variations that are consistent with aged oak wood. Curved iron arms support flame bulbs. Contains all eight light socket fixtures. This item is missing the bottom ball (that was cracked and discarded) but you can purchase a newer one from Amazon or older wood sphere from a vintage lighting shop.
