Description: Here we have an authentic very-vintage 1930 postally-unused Exhibit Supply Co. (Chicago, IL) postcard, featuring Captain George Wilkins, who "flew from Point Barrow, Alaska, over the North Pole and to Spitzenbergen, an approximate distance of 2,300 miles in 20 hours and 30 minutes, April 15, 1928." This postcard was produced in several different colors; this one is red. We have lots of fabulous postcards in our store, to which we add new inventory daily, and we're always happy to combine shipping at actual cost. Condition: Our photographs reveal the condition best and are the most important part of the description--please zoom in on them and examine them carefully. Very fresh and clean piece, with no funky odors. In overall acceptable or better condition for this Exhibit Supply Co. type of postcard, with heavy edge and corner wear, and light soiling, as shown in the photos, and light toning. Color distribution on this richly-tinted line is always uneven, as seen on this card, but this one is actually still quite a deep, bright red, which is fairly evenly balanced across the entire card. Rest assured that we will do all we can to ensure that your piece of ephemera arrives exactly as presented in our photos. We invest time and appropriate materials into shipping all of our ephemera. Most pieces are sent in envelopes that are sandwiched between cardboard before being sent as Priority or first-class parcels in non-bendable mailers, which ship at rates much higher than first-class letters. We never toss our ephemera into thin stationery envelopes with forever stamps stuck to them expecting the USPS to deliver them to you with great care. We consider funky odors (cigarette smoke, mildew, etc) to be an important part of a condition report.
