Description: Please note change in description due to recent accidental damage hence price reduction- See last two pictures Raynal Celluloid rhodoid/cloth French bebe Katherine flirty glass eye doll 16”. Beautiful little 16” cuddly baby version of Raynal’s Katherine She has a celluloid/ Rhodoid head with sleeping and flirty eyes Open mouth with a little red tongue. Her head can be turned from side to side. Her body is made of cloth with a type of fine knit cloth limbs, firmly stuffed with movable limbs. I can feel a Mumma box in the chest. She has her original small expressive hands made of Rhodoid. She is over 90 years old so not perfect or pristine however she looks gorgeous with her blue flirty eyes. Her dress and bandanna bow in her hair look to be of similar age. The dress and bow are cotton, red with a daisy print three little original buttons on the front, two pockets and waist tie with a Peter Pan collar. Head ok except for crack under left eye see picture, which has just been caused accidentally by my granddaughter knocking the box off the table The paint original little loss of colour on cheeks lips nice and red Eyes glass blue iris working flirty side to side and sleep, missing most lashes so small gap when sleeping. Body good condition not pristine some repairs to stocking on top of legs, hands look to be painted Mumma box not working probably just dried out. A beautiful baby doll which has been in my cabinet for many years Originally bought in Lille antiques market for my personal collection. Sadly now downsizing ready for move to smaller home. Happy to combine postage where I can.
