Quite desirably, it is maker marked S.M. Co. and dated 1944. This sling, together with its original wrapper, is offered exactly as pictured. With repros and fakes abounding, original World War Two slings have become more and more difficult to find. As many as I have—and have had—this is the only new old stock in its original wrapper M1 Carbine sling I have owned.
