This is an auction for a Rare Dick Perez Diamond King "The First Five" Walter Johnson Postcard. This postcard is 3 1/2" x 5 1/2" in size. This postcard is unsigned. I have been told that there has only been 200 of these sets printed and they are now completely sold out. There were two versions produced. One was a portrait version and one was a landscape version. This one is the portrait version. I will have both for sale so take a look at my other auctions if you prefer the other version better or you would like both versions for your collection. All of these postcards will be inserted into a soft sleeve first and then placed into a rigid top loader and taped at the top to protect your investment. These were produced and released as part of a Kickstarter program to fund an upcoming movie about Dick Perez and his incredible sports art. The name of the movie will be "The Diamond King" and will be released early next year. These are really great looking postcards but sadly due to them having color all of the way to the edges, they are almost impossible to get in perfect mint condition. Almost all of them have some very slight white showing on a corner or two but not all of them. Therefore, I suggest that you look over the scan of the postcard to determine the grade of the card for yourself. I would say the postcards are in ex-mint condition just to be on the safe side but I believe that you will be pleased with your purchase.
