D. This book was written in 1874 with the purpose of inspiring young people to live a godly and meaningful life as they witnessed the character of John Wesley and His God. The words are easily understood today and not archaic. There is a frontispiece with John Wesley's portrait and signature. This book is 318 pages in length with unique, ornate decorate art at the heading of each of the seventeen chapters. After the prefatory note and introduction, it begins with his earliest beginnings of life and family background to his beautiful death at age 88 years of age. There are truly many fascinating facts and scenes depicted in this biographical sketch that would be of benefit and inspiration to any one, any gender, any age, any culture. The book itself shows wear on the cover (notice photos #1 and #2) and the pages are bound together, but pulled away from the cover (shown in photo #3). The frontispiece is loose (see photo #4). There is no known writing or tears in these pages, but a few small light brown stains as shown in the photo# 7 above. The 8 pages of Table of Contents are pictured above so that you may known what all is contained in this truly amazing book! It measures 7 1/2" x 5" x `1 1/4" and is a real treasure that will impact the life of the reader.
