Description: This is a genuine, antique, Hubley Toy Company cast iron English bulldog doorstop. This one is rare to find in this condition and in this model. The original, antique, cast iron doorstops have tight seams, and the body of these antique doorstops are smooth to the touch rather than rough and pebbly. This bulldog is smooth with tight seams. Hubley signed their cast-iron dogs inside. This doorstop has ALL of it's original paint. The reproductions of these doorstops also have "X" Phillips screws. This one does not have that screw. The bulldog retains most of it's original pinkish colored jowl paint as well. The doorstop measures 5 1/2" long by 4 5/8th" high by 4 1/8th" wide. This little Hubley bulldog is a hefty one.
