Description: This is a VERY RARE PRE-PRODUCTION SAMPLE of The Adventures of Rocky and Bullwinkle NATASHA FATALE movie figure (played by Rene Russo in the movie) from Hamilton Toy. The 11"-12" item is based on the character from the live-action animation movie and comes boxed. It was made for stores' merchandising departments to determine their interest in selling the item. However, I can not find any record of it being released into production. I have never seen another sample pre-production one like this. This sample was manufactured in 2000 for Universal Studios by Hamilton Toy. This came from the merchandising department of Meijer stores in Grand Rapids, Michigan. I acquired it in June, 2000, and have had it stored away since then. The box fading occurred before I purchased it. It has never been displayed. There are many smaller figures from this movie released by Just Toys, but I haven't found any made by Hamilton Toy. You can tell from the packaging that it is an early sample. There is no barcode. Just a box where it would be located. I have shown details of the prototype-like sample box packaging where the pieces of the glued endcaps are pealing away. As a "purist" collector, I left them unglued. They could easily be reglued to make it look much better. Notice the dash lines along the edges showing where the sample was to be folded. Also, the top end flap is held in place with double-sided foam as shown. A close-up of her painted skin shows hairline cracks like it was hand painted. It is a must-have for collectors of animation merchandise and fans of the franchise. I have 2 other different 12" samples made by Hamilton Toy for this movie that I also listed. One is a different version of Natasha Fatale, and one is Fearless Leader. They look more like production versions even though they also are pre-production samples without barcodes.
