Description: This rare 1910s Ed Laurens "Tanagra" vertical hinged 10 cigarette tin, measuring 3" x 3 1/4" x 3/8". is in excellent condition with no dents or rust and some very minor paint scrapes. This very attractive blue, white and gold tin features a stunning image of a statue of a woman in a flowing white gown. Hellenistic terra cotta statues of women was discovered in the Greek city of Tanagra. The cigarettes were manufactured in Alexandria and Cairo, Egypt and sold in London.
