This valving also helps to minimize a harsh ride while driving on rough roads. A custom tuned clamp disc base valve helps to regulate fluid transfer during compression cycles to absorb impacts without disc flutter for better vehicle control. The larger 2-1/4” diameter shock body allows for greater fluid capacity to keep the shock operating cooler which provides increased vehicle control and performance at different speeds and over varied terrains. Gas pressurization of the RS5000X shock reduces the chance of foaming and shock fade while providing a boost in spring rate. The 35mm bore with Full-displaced compression valving displaces more fluid than a traditional rod displaced valving, providing an amplified control of shock motion. For a durable construction, the shock features a 16mm nitro-carburized rod that is scuff resistant for better corrosion resistance, and a 1.375” sintered iron piston for added structural conformity. Natural rubber bushings installed in the double-welded loops help to reduce and absorb ride harshness and road noise for a more enjoyable ride in your JK. For smooth piston travel and improved responsiveness, Rancho utilizes a composite glass-filled, Fluon banded piston that despite road conditions offers smooth operation. To prolong the shocks performance and provide a quick rebound and smooth compression cycle are low friction, self-lubricating seals that help to retain gas and oil. With help from the included dust boot, this seal also adds a layer of protection against dirt and other debris.
