Description: First of all, this is a wonderful example of "Lithic Reduction," and a finely sculpted, 6 oz.,basalt, prehistoric Paleo-American stone hand tool. This primitive, yet highly effective, "warrior/ shaman" implement has been marvelously designed, shaped, and finished. Obviously designed as a lightweight, portable cutting, slicing, or stabbing implement; this is a little slicer-dicer "finishing" tool. (The edges are still sharp! Even now!). This piece of stone tool art has been impeccably sculpted and finished. Many enigmatically cryptic images to consider; some are subtle, but the primary image on this piece, is staring at you. (Could it be the owner, and/or the maker of this fine hand tool.) This implement has a high level of ancient presence about it, and of course, it has a lot of questions about it. Nevertheless, this is a portable tool of basic design and function. Found "as is" in Eastern Clackamas County, Oregon. Thank you for visiting my store. Gj.
