There are identifiable wear marks, so it might have been a tool as such, but it was certainly well designed and finished, and may have belonged to someone special.This lovely instrument of innocence and antiquity is a perfect marriage of art and function; of beauty and courage, was found "as is" in South Eastern Oregon near Lakeview. (Several facial effigies, etc., are also evident.) This is an exceptional piece of ancient craftsmanship!
