Or, build your speaker system a la carte — for instance, use three of the Quantum Plasma 5 satellites for your home theater's front channels, and two (or more) of the smaller Quantum Plasma 3 satellites for your surrounds, in combination with a Pinnacle powered subwoofer.The Quantum Plasma 5 satellite features a three-way, five-driver design, including two 3" carbon graphite woofers for the lows, two more 3" carbon graphite drivers for the mids, and a 1" liquid-cooled titanium tweeter for sweet, crystal-clear highs. The drivers are mounted in a die-cast aluminum enclosure, which includes extensive internal bracing to eliminate sound-muddying resonance. To avoid the problems associated with titanium tweeters when reproducing sound at the highest frequencies, Pinnacle used a patented process called Cathodic Arc Evaporation™ — the tweeter receives a protective plasma vapor coating which helps it retain control under stress for cleaner, more accurate high-frequency sound (and gives the tweeter an attractive purple tint!).
