Description: This lot comprises a classical pair of candlesticks made by the most important English Silversmith producing Silver Plated wares, Elkington & Co. I believe the hallmark indicates they were made in 1876. They stand approximately 20cm tall with a base 13cm in diameter and each one weighs over 1KG. They do have a few marks and scrapes, which I have tried to capture in the pictures and one appears to have been bashed/scraped along the bottom silver ridge. There is also some toning on the stems, which doesn't seem to polish out. However, they are a fine pair of heavy candlesticks and a few scrapes and scratches are to be expected given their age. Please judge the condition for yourself from the pictures and feel free to ask any questions or make me an offer. I am happy to offer discounts on postage for multiple purchases.
