Description: A handsome pair of Dutch or Flemish old master oils from the golden age. Each of the pair depict figures within landscapes of shorelines by forested rocky promontories. The left hand example is signed illegibly in the lower left corner, name seems to begin with "Roe..." The paintings each measure 8 5/8 x 10 3/4 inches, they are both oil on canvas mounted on bevelled oak panels. The paintings are quite old, with typical craquelure and a bit of surface grime. The only visible touch up is a half inch line in the center of the large rock at left, otherwise they are in excellent condition.
